I'd like to hear more about your statement that you have not "used the chpater status in Bulgaria in the last 10 years."

For what is worth, I don't remember that we have used the chapter status in Bulgaria in the last 10 years. ISOC.org, at the same time, has used many times the fact that there are 80+ chapters around the world.

Being a Chapter does not mean that you do not have separate
existence.  It means you are affiliated and have certain rights and
obligations.


 If there suddenly were no ISOC, each Chapter would be left to work
out under their national laws how to proceed.

Chapter have to work under its national law in all cases, in case if
it is a Chapter and in case if it has not  a Chapter status.

 I note that an Chapter that loses its Chapter status still would
exist as a legal entity under the laws it was organized under.

 It just could no longer present itself as a Chapter of the Society.

This is risky policy, in that case lot of Chapters will loss their
Chapter status, in our case we shall loose our Chapter status,
otherwise nobody will accept, that we are independent NGO which  works
