Dear Markus Kummer,

Thank you for your response. I do believe that this may not be a difficult
problem for Indonesia. However if they prefer to opt for a later year,
various stakeholders in India would be delighted to have the opportunity to
host IGF participants after this gap of 5 years.

think it should be possible for Indonesia to find the missing 1 Million
USD. However, should they be unable to honour their commitment to host the
IGF, then we will have to look at alternative venues. We had an excellent
meeting in Hyderabad in 2008 - revisiting India definitely would be an
attractive option!

>> If it is indeed true, for any other reason, we could host the IGF in
India. Some Internet Governance participants from Government and Industry
have repeatedly expressed an interest in hosting the IGF, but what
refrained India from expressing an interest is that fact that we hosted the
2008 IGF, so may have to wait for a year or two before making our bid.

be sufficient interest in India to bring together the necessary
arrangements and host an uncompromising event, despite the limitations of
time.

potential sponsor.
