Dear Colleagues,

Thanks to all of you who have completed the short survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/isoc_at_icann_durban to help us select the topics for the agenda of the upcoming "ISOC members @ICANN" meeting in Durban on 14 July, 19:00-21:00 local time (17:00-19:00 UTC). If you haven't done so yet, then we invite you do so before midnight (UTC) today so that we can take your votes and suggestions into consideration when finalising the agenda.

The exact venue of the meeting on Sunday will be: Durban International Convention Center, Room 3B.

Remote participation via WebEx, live captioning and live streaming will be available as well for those of you who will not be able to join us on site in Durban. The details will be available here: http://www.internetsociety.org/events/isoc-members-icann-meeting

We look forward to meeting you soon!

Best regards,

Christine

>> As you know, the Internet Society (ISOC) usually organises two meetings for chapters and members alongside ICANN: the "ISOC @ ICANN Meeting" on Sunday mostly focused on policy issues and the "Chapters and Members Meeting" on Tuesday to discuss ISOC and Chapter related topics.
>>
>> We have heard from many of you that two ISOC meetings at ICANN with mostly the same people attending both meetings was too much, especially considering the very full ICANN agenda.
>>
>> Having said that, it is really important for ISOC to provide a platform where ISOC members can meet, exchange ideas and discuss ISOC related issues.
>>
>> Therefore we have decided to organise one meeting only in Durban and to slightly rearrange the focus and the agenda.
>>
>> We will thus be hosting an "ISOC members @ ICANN" meeting on Sunday evening, 14 July 2013, from 19.00 – 21.00 (local time), with partly policy content and partly ISOC related issues. We will provide more details and the full agenda in the next coming days.
