Dear Chapter Delegates,

A Very Happy 2013!

My Name is Naveed Ul Haq. I have very recently joined the Internet Society (ISOC) as Chapter Development Manager, Asia-Pacific region. I would be working with both the Director for Chapters and Regional Bureau to strengthen and enhance the impact of ISOC and in particular, ISOC chapters, in this vibrant region. These goals can be achieved only with your support and our regular collaboration. I very much look forward to working with all chapters in the region.

Prior to joining ISOC, I was working with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Government of Pakistan since 2002, most recently as Assistant Director, Information & Communication Technologies (ICT). Internet had been a central part of my professional career ranging from administration of Internet Infrastructure to working with Industry stakeholders on regulatory and policy measures for Telecommunications and the Internet development.

Luckily, I had been in contact with many of you in recent years at various International meetings organized by ISOC, ICANN and the IGF. This indeed is an exciting and challenging time now to collaborate and work with ISOC chapters to further ISOC’s vision and mission of the Internet for Everyone, inside communities around Asia and the Pacific.

I assure my full support and dedication in assisting chapters and their volunteer leadership, members and partners
