There seems to be a good forecast of collaboration between both while the Gauteng chapter fulfills its purposes. So I am glad to join others who have told us about the local situation in support.
Kind thanks Alejandro for reverting.
I have personally invested many man weeks in assisting and helping Mr Gabriel to co-ordinate a single meeting in Gauteng. Initially I explained to him that he should arrange to host a meeting with my full support and that I would fly to Johannesburg to attend.
I have been looking for a person to take over the ISOC-ZA chapter for some years. Unfortunately I had to explain to the ISOC global people that I have supported Gabriel as far as my ability. If only he had managed to arrange a single meeting, honestly I spent many hours mentoring and coaching him (e.g. find a speaker, venue, agenda, invitations). After four months went by I suggested to him that I cannot commit more hours to coaching him and as soon as the speaker/venue/agenda is completed can he please confirm with me to arrange travel. Because he was never able to arrange a single meeting (with the support of ISOC-ZA), I consider this a rogue application.
ISOC-ZA is a National organisation, I have identified a person to take the lead in Gauteng (and nationally over the coming year) so I feel that creating another chapter at this point is redundant.
Sincerely
Alan
