Hola Carlos,

aunque no somos miembros de LACNIC aqui en Camboya, espero que vas 
introducir la problematica de la actitud “the way to enter every 
discussion about IP from the copyright holder point of view,” y, 
tambien, ciertos elementos semejantes en la discussion sobre nuevos 
Bylaws para ISOC Global.

Todavia no tengo ninguna respuesta a lo que escribio sobre "At least I 
think we can all agree?" - lo que decia el nuevo coordinador de ISOC 
America del Norte.

"Copyright violations are a real problem - At least I think we can all 
agree?" This is the REAL problem.. i.e the way every discussion about IP 
start.. From the copyright holder point of view...

I.P is more than a copyright problem.. We need to observe the whole 
environment as origin of the good you are protecting (is acceptable? Is 
ethical,?), time to protect (should we protect a copyright 20-50 years 
when the copyright holder in the very first year have their initial 
investment return in 1'000.000 times? ), rights of users (why is this 
only a commercial right and very limited to a some few cents as the CD 
or DVD or MEDIA value?), market control and life control from copyright 
holders (it's not always true what Eric say: we are sometimes FORCED to 
buy...) And more as the same PRINCIPLES and CONCEPTS behind IP such us 
innovation, enterpreneur spirit promotion, and more.

Nobody wants to work on the whole aspects but only from the big fish 
point of view.
