I am not familiar with all the details, but isn't "bypass existing legal
and private contractual obligations to protect Internet users' privacy"
without "judicial oversight" - in the name of security - the main driver
of the legislation? So, by raising it as a concern, we are in essence
opposing the act, period. I somehow doubt the FBI etc need an act to share
threat info with providers.
There are also free speech concerns. The legislation compromises the United
States' vocal support of Internet Freedom internationally.
That said. Wording seems fine.
BTW I was happy to read that the amended act supposedly already excludes IP
infringement as a cause for privacy busting.
