[Chapter-delegates] Open Internet Endowment

Hi,

through Facebook I found a notice from Ole Jacobsen mentioning something called Open Internet Endowment.

I clicked the link and found    http://www.openinternetendowment.org/ which states "established and managed by: Internet Society", with official-looking logos and text.

A Google search leads me to some stuff from the IETF and a presentation by Lynn. This was in process in the IETF 83 and seems to be getting announced in IETF 84 more openly. I also recall something discussed or mentioned in the INET in Geneva, in April, but not with precision. I can't find it in my files.

I may have missed or forgotten something so... can anyone refresh my memory, or tell me more about this? staff or chapters, either is good for me! Is the Endowment now official? what participation does it foresee from the Chapters and members communities, if any?
