Norbert

Thank you for sharing your interest in the chapter apac region position on the delegates list.
IMHO, you would be a great asset for the Internet Society and for Raj in Singapore/Cambodia.

Your experience as well as your dedication and your network in the region would immensely help
the Internet Society reach out to and work well with chapters, technical community and advocacy groups you've been working with over the last two decades.

The fact that you lived in Cambodia more than 22 years and even longer in other parts of Asia certainly makes you a qualified candidate, not to mention that you are fluent in Khmer, Japanese, German English etc.
It all speaks a lot about your capabilities to communicate well with people in any international environment.
I vividly remember meeting you the first time in such environment in 1999 in Santiago de Chile ICANN Non-commercial constituency meeting and your interventions.

And lastly not to mention that you are the one who got the Internet to Cambodia!

You have all my support and I sincerely wish you all the best with your application.

Desiree

I apply only in view of the urgent timing of ISOC – in case ISOC has a good candidate who will be available only later, I am prepared to fill such an interim period.
