[Chapter-delegates] More about World IPv6 Launch -- spectacular interest!

Hi,

I wanted to let you know that there has been a tremendous response to World IP Launch announcement this morning.

In fact, the attention from individual Internet users, social media and new outlets exceeded our wildest expectations--within 30 minutes the announcement generated a bigger traffic spike than we saw in the ENTIRETY of last year's World IPv6 Day event.

The result is that the http://www.worldipv6launch.org website has been temporarily overwhelmed. After several unsuccessful steps to keep the site up in its current configuration, and our IT team is responding quickly to deploy an alternative setup to support this greater load.

The resulting DNS changes means that the website is effectively unreachable for some at the moment. The Internet Society IT team is working on the issue now, and we expect it to be fully back-online shortly.
