Dear Internet Society Colleagues

A special thanks to the Germany and Spain chapters for their active
participation at the Campus party in Berlin. There is a great deal of
positive energy and excitement as we connect with people young and old
promoting and experimenting with technology for social progress.

The Internet Society has a great deal to offer Campus party in terms of
expertise, organization reach and focus. Campus Party offers the Internet
Society and chapters in particular, as way to connect to interested, engaged
young people to interest them in our mission and work. I wanted to provide
you a quick update of our activities:

Thursday, August 23, ISOC North American Bureau Director Paul Brigner will
participate on a panel exploring digital intellectual property rights.
Later that evening at 9 PM Berlin time, Paul and I will conduct a Google
Hangout on Live stream (www.livestream.com/internetsocietychpaters ) for
any Internet Society member who wishes to attend, discussing the events of
that day and those ahead. Please feel free to inform your members about
this.

Friday, August 24 @ 10 AM Senior Policy Advisor Christine Runnegar will
participate on a Panel discussing Privacy in the Digital Age. At 11 AM
yours truly Sr. Director Ted Mooney will show a short video about the
Internet Society, speak for about 10 minutes on our mission values and how
these intersect with Campus Party values, and make a call for membership in
the Internet Society, closing with a new short video about which you will
learn more tomorrow.

My best to you all.

Ted Mooney
