Dear people,

Since 2009, and stimulated in part by the initiative of CGI.br to
publish its 10 Principles for Governance and Use of the Internet, a
pluralist process has been taking place to build a bill of law for a
Civil Rights Framework for the Internet in Brazil. This process is
described in English here:

http://direitorio.fgv.br/civilrightsframeworkforinternet

Finally, the bill of law has been submitted to Congress. Many
organizations in Brazil are expressing support for the current version
of the bill of law, CGI.br among them.

Below is ISOC Brazil's statement of support, liberally translated to
English by me (so blame me for any inconsistency regarding the original
in Portuguese).

fraternal regards
