[Chapter-delegates] timeline of internet - global and local - proposal

I am delighted to hear that, and having local chapters involved in this.
However, it's going to take some resources to display it in a manner
that is easily accessible and useful. So I am happy to see that ISOC is
committed to this cause. I also like Khaled Koubaa's suggestions on a
great example of timeline.

Much of the per-country information is actually out there somewhere -
and I fully support the involvement of Chapters in collecting/compiling
this information.

By the way, one of the most comprehensive databases out there of early
Internet history on a country-wide basis is the NSRC's database. IMHO,
it has reached "historic" status.

Many other people also produced maps at the time. I specifically also
recall the independent works of Jonathan Quarterman, Mike Jensen and
also Larry Landweber (who used to produce his maps for ISOC).  Although
many have disappeared from Web servers as time went on (a particular
instance of bit rot exacerbated with web rot), you can see a snapshot of
them from a recent article:
