Dear Friends and Colleagues:
I would request the following points on the agenda of the European
Chapters meeting in Bucharest:
1. Friday morning: ISOC-ECC matters: consultations, information
exchange.
Identification of co-opted volunteers to join the ISOC-ECC
Executive Committee 2011-2012
2. Friday morning: Update on the progress of the Board of Trustees and
staff in the matter of Chapter membership of ISOC and voting rights.
The agenda of the BoT in Dakar does not refer to this issue,
which was nonetheless deferred from the most recent BoT meeting in
Québec.
Where do we stand now? What are the recommendations of the Ad Hoc
BoT working group?
3. Friday morning: EURid: briefing about recent developments and
prospects for the Dot.EU ccTLD. (The EURid Strategic Committee meeting
is taking place in Brussels on Thursday 10 November)
4. [Thursday] Chapter participation in EU funded R&D projects:
Creation of a staffed monitoring function within the European Bureau.
Organisation of existing and improved information exchange.
ISOC financial support for project participation.
[Since I gather that the Friday morning session will be quite
busy, if necessary, please schedule point 4 on Thursday, albeit in my
absence.]
Regards to you all,
Christopher.
