The Internet Society (ISOC) along with its Bangalore
Chapter<http://isocbangalore.org/> will
present an INET Regional Conference on November 4 2011 at the Vivanta by
Taj, Karnataka, India. The theme is *Internet in India: 200 million users
and beyond. <http://isoc.org/inet_bangalore>*. INET Bangalore will explore
the state of the Internet in India today, and how Internet growth and how
different services (such as Social Media, e-commerce, Mobile Internet
amongst others) have impacted India. It will also look into some of the
security and privacy issues that face us today, and consider what a large
and active Internet user base means in terms of business opportunities and
overall socio-economic development for both, rural and urban, India.
