> There’s a lot going on over the next few months so activities have  
> been very much split between tactical implementation of key  
> programmes and planning for future outreach. We’ve secured a total  
> of 53 articles this month (full details below) but it is worth  
> highlighting that there are some tier 1 titles included plus ongoing  
> steady momentum around World IPv6 Day.

> In Europe, the focus in April was to ensure that the voice of the  
> Internet Society was heard during the debate over Brussels’ main  
> Internet-related development of the month, the publication of the  
> European Commission’s communication on net neutrality. While the  
> EC’s communication itself held no surprises, taking a wait-and-see  
> approach to regulation, the Internet Society succeeded in further  
> raising its profile by swiftly securing publication of a succinct  
> press release and pertinent letter to the editor. This was an  
> additional sign that the organisation is well on the way to becoming  
> a go-to source for leading Brussels media.

> In The US, activities focused primarily on preparations for  
> forthcoming events – a media plan is in place for the events that  
> will take place in the next month or so: Preparations are in place
