We are also interestwd in join. In Ecuador people with disability or qith special abilities are now being attended in different ways because a new concept in our government. We have constitutional and legal rights concerning the inclusion (social, educational and economic), and now I hope digital inclusion, of people with special abilities

 - Disability awareness for Chapters

Dear Jacek,

Thank you for your positive response. I'm glad to hear that there have
been some important Polish disability projects.

This current ISOC-AU project funded through the ISOC Community Grants
programme aims to increase awareness among Chapters about disability and
accessibility especially working towards mainstream Internet solutions
rather specialised solutions. It will mean that Chapters can run
seminars for their own members about disability and how to improve
accessibility, thus increasing awareness of the many issues involved.

The disability awareness module will be trialled at the Chapters meeting
at INET Sri Lanka in May. At the conclusion of the project, the
materials will be made available on the ISOC website for use by any Chapter.

During the time of the project, I'll be running some Webex conference
sessions to discuss the disability awareness module and to clarify any
questions. This is good for two reasons: to assist those who may not be
able to attend INET in Sri Lanka and to ensure that I am covering the
most important points based on the questions that I receive.

I'll be happy to discuss this project further with you and would be
delighted if the Polish Chapter would like to use the disability
awareness module.

Kind regards,
Gunela Astbrink
