Yes Imran. I am sure there could be, like there is for "distressed" looking
remakes of classic music tour shirts, a healthy potential market for the
geek equivalents.
The "improved" version of Tim Berners Lee is now up in the archive, and I
have also posted it In HD on YouTube at http://youtu.be/D29XGJz4jxo
I just watched the Vint Cerf segment and it is a remarkably clear & concise
summary of the issues facing the Internet. A couple of things I took away.:
1) On access as a universal human right - he considers that this is already
manifest in the communication language of UNDHR and, while that needs to be
emphasized and encouraged, actual codification of any individual technology
would be short-sighted.
2) He calls for the establishment an "Internet Fire Brigade" to deal with
DDOS and similar abuses.
3) He spent a lot of time talking about trust - the implication and
application of reliable identifiers and authentication generally - I thought
he did a good job of taking this arcane but important topic and making it
understandable. I'm going to go back to this and review more. Perhaps I can
bring myself up to speed to do the same.
Reminder - the link for the archive is http://bit.ly/inetnyvideo
