[Chapter-delegates] World IPv6 Day in Portugal

Dear all,

 

The ISOC Portugal Chapter has been created early this year.

 

We have started the chapter activities but the first initiative with large visibility will the World IPv6 Day that will take place in Lisbon (See program below – in Portuguese).

In addition to the formal program we will run a few demos and tests of sites to test their compliance.

 

The members of the chapter have been very active in promoting IPv6 since the 90s and now that the chapter is in operation we had , of course, to be active in this area.

Our research and education network runs IPv6 since 2003 and the DNS.PT accepts AAAA records in the registration process since 2005.

 

We are confident that this initiative will contribute to a greater awareness of the importance of IPv6 for the growth of the Internet.
