Christopher,

thanks - personally - for this communication to the Board of Trustees, of
which this weekend's is my last session.

For all I know, the Board has taken note of your contribution and I
support the decision not to act on it now.

The Bylaws revision that is ongoing is minimal and meant only to solve
some specific problems that have arisen with legal compliance and one
practicality - of certain size, no doubt - for the Board itself.

When the issue of revising the bylaws was first brought up the Trustees
discussed several larger-scale issues that would also need be taken up and
we all agreed that any major revision has to be made with a well-guided,
very participative open process.

I hereby make the commitment to follow up on that process as I leave the
Board and continue my duties as an ISOC member and chapter leader. There
will be much to discuss and we must take into account the immense
diversity of views among us.

Yours,

Alejandro Pisanty
