Dear Chapters,
In response to the keen interest of many Chapters shown in Bucharest Workshop to participate in European Projects let me inform you about an ongoing FP7 call:
CALL TITLE: FP7-SSH-2012 — COLLABORATIVE PROJECTS (SMALL OR MEDIUM SCALE
FOCUSED RESEARCH PROJECTS) AS WELL AS COORDINATION AND SUPPORT ACTIONS
–! Call identifier: FP7-SSH-2012-1 and FP7-SSH-2012-2
–! Date of publication 20 July 201119:
–! Deadline20: 2 February 2012 at 17.00.00 Brussels local time
–! Indicative budget: EUR 39 (Call 1) + 48 (Call 2) Millions of Euro;
Please read the attachment, which lists (and describes!) areas of interest and implementation details. Look, if you can find something you could be interested to participate and where you have some expertise. Many of this projects need partners from Asia, Africa or LAC, which is usually a hurdle for many EU applicants, but where ISOC's world-wide muti-chapter structure is a great asset. Even if the project description allows for 'non-Internet' point of view, there is no doubt that EC will welcome to tackle those topics through Internet perspective.
From my quick look following topics could be interested to EU Chapters in cooperation with:
- Smart specialization for regional innovation - EU only
- Social innovation against inequalities - EU only
- Social innovation for vulnerable populations - EU + 2x Brazil
- Understanding disabilities in evolving societies- EU only
Interactions and interdependences between world regions and their implications:
- Towards Atlantic Area? - EU + 4x (LAC, Africa)
- National and regional integration in South East Asia
- EU + 4x S-E Asia
- Social changes and political transformations in the Arab world
- EU + 4x (Mediterranean + Middle East)
Wishing you all Merry Christmas and lots of project ideas for 2012,
Jacek Gajewski
Chapter Development Manager
