Dear colleagues,

This morning was special for me. My second term at the Board of Trustees ended today. I would like to thank you all for your support over those six years.

It is always difficult to point out an individual's contribution to collegial decisions. Still, I think the Society made good progress in a number of areas like public policy and relations with the chapters.
When I joined the board in 2004, ISOC was still recovering from a difficult financial situation, which influenced the discussion quite a lot. This is behind us, and the Society can now concentrate its energy on its core tasks: standards and public policy.

Thanks again for sharing with me your thoughts and your feelings about the Society. I tried my best to aggregate and convey your input into the board discussions.
I remain committed to the Society. If there is anything I can do to help, please call on me.

Yours truly,
--
