Dear Rudi,
Thanks for your note.
I shall indeed make a short presentation on ISOC position re: IGF Sharm event, to-morrow morning. Without surprise, my presentation will cover the key issues which we have shared here recently (http://isoc.org/wp/newsletter/?m=20100) and which I have also attached at the end of this mail. I trust you will find those points of interest. The event is a breakfast organised by the EIF for its own members- As EIF Members, both ISOC-ECC and ISOC are used to attend those breakfasts. Although I understand that, from my last discussion with him, Christopher won't be able to attend this one.
You're raising a very important point re: information on *all* our European operations and opportunities and as I am driving the EU Bureau I would like to elaborate with you and the EU chapters the best mechanisms & processes between all of us to make that as efficient as possible.
As you know, I shall organise during the next coming weeks working discussions with *all* EU chapters and this will of course be on the agenda.
Looking forward to discuss that point with you and our fellow EU chapters soon
Best Regards
Frédéric

> A little surprise again ... ISOC (Frederic Donck, speaks at a meeting in Brussels, my home base, and I have to learn about by browsing the web. In view of the upcoming Nairobi meeting en of course the Brussels ICANN meeting in June, this would have been an excellent chance to talk to the 2 prominent persons speaking at the debate, Mme Trautmann and Alice Munyua. Registration is already closed so no chance to jump in.

> This event will offer an opportunity to exchange views on the recent Internet Governance Forum held in Egypt and the political, economic, cultural, social and legal issues currently being debated in this context. With regards to the discussions on the continuation of the IGF process one novelty is the prospect of a closer "EP/East-African Parliaments relationship". This new dimension in turn enriches the ongoing debate on the core Internet governance topics (access, security, diversity, openneness, critical resources).
