Dear Bill Graham:

With reference to the request from the UN regarding enhanced
cooperation, I would make the following suggestions:

1.	The first two pages of the October 6 2008 letter should stand by
cross-reference, without repetition, so that our 2010 reply would
concentrate on amplifying and updating the third page.

2.	Include a short definition of "enhanced cooperation" from the
Internet Society's point of view.

3.	Broaden the concept of ISOC Cooperation to include (a) particularly
the ISOC Chapter's presence in the ICANN At Large and (b) regional,
cultural and linguistic cooperation among Chapters and with other
entities.

4.	It might also enhance our reply in the UN context if we could
provide a geographical distribution of Chapters, individual Membership
and organisational Membership.

Regarding the last paragraph in the October 6 2008 letter, please
recall that the Secretary General's report should in the first
instance be considered by the CSTD (Commission for Science and
Technology for Development) before being submitted to ECOSOC.

Regards,

Christopher Wilkinson
