[Chapter-delegates] Ad-free webcasting

As any of you who have viewed recent ISOC-NY live webcasts are aware,
our provider Livestream has taken to inserting LOUD AND OBNOXIOUS
commercials every 15 minutes.

We don't pay for the service. To go ad-free costs a whopping $3500/yr
- beyond our means. We've already paid out $500 of our events money to
get the wirecast software that allows live camera switching/mixing.
We've looked around for alternative free or cheaper streaming services
without success. We otherwise are quite happy with Livestream, and it
has nice features like an online studio that permits live mixing of
guest streams. We have noticed that our viewership is affected by the
ads. Our only workaround is that we can edit & post our source files
on our own site, for later viewing/ downloading.

I don't think we are the only chapter interested in live webcasting,
and ISOC itself should be making an effort to webcast the INETS.. We
are wondering if

1) ISOC could pay and manage one Livestream account that all Chapters can use.
or
2) Some other chapters would like to go shares with us on a Livestream account
or
3) ISOC-NY should submit a grant application for managing a Livestream
account for all Chapters as a community project.

Is there any interest?

We've tried approaching both Livestream and uStream for sponsorship
without response.
