When you act out of fear decisions will be irrational. EveryDNS is a small
fish in the registry space and probably was afraid of receiving US
government phone calls or men in suits showing up at their doorstep. If we
recall there was quite a lot of pressure from senators to remove any Islamic
terrorist videos. Google did not bend on this. If EasyDNS had an army of
counsel things would probably have been different.
