[Chapter-delegates] Training session(s) for new AMS portal - December 10th

Hello everyone --

The new AMS portal has been live now for nearly two weeks, and we have  
been receiving some questions on various functionality options such as:

*  How can I remove members from my chapter who should not be there?

*  How should I deal with incoming requests for chapter membership?

*  When will my chapter database be synchronised with the AMS database?

ISOC will be holding a series of online training sessions to answer  
these and other questions that may have arisen since the launch.  As  
with the earlier online demos, these trainings will need to be held  
via Webex, as the screen-sharing of Marratech is not quite up to the  
task.  Also as before, we will hold two identical sessions:

December 10th UTC 11:30 and UTC 20:00

With those two sessions we hope to cover most of the world's  
chapters.  For audio, we are requesting that chapter officers use the  
attached conference-phone numbers for their respective countries.  The  
reasoning behind this is twofold:

1)  Preserving bandwidth for the screen sharing (VOIP takes more  
bandwidth than normal telephony)

2)  Normal telephony is less prone to technical problems with audio  
(such as headsets, drivers, java versions, etc).

NOTE:  If your country is not listed, please let us know and we will  
see about making alternative arrangements.

Please let us know if you can make these training sessions, and how  
who will be participating from your chapter.  Once confirmed,  
respondents will receive a Webex invitation to the proper session.

Finally, we will be offering further training December 17th, and also  
several sessions in January, for those that could not make it to the  
December sessions.
