Well, There are so many issues re the Internet, that not to have to worry too much about the web, and support the www foundation is may be a good thing. ISOC can then use its resources more acutely on some other important and less visible problems.

There are in fact overlaps. In technical and policy matters, IETF and
W3C have been good friends of the Internet Society. I would suggest
that we include the WWW Foundation among our circle of friends.
