Hello Greg, Anne,

Twitter: announcements (e.g. names of the trustees elected, call for
nominations for an award / fellowship), news for members and
non-members ( ISOC
posts report of Internet Governance
survey<http://www.isoc.org/tools/blogs/membernews/?p=876> )
with a link, relevant external news such a new legislation in Europe or a
new development in china. There could be at least one to three tweets per
day.

Facebook: I would suggest a staff-supported (additional) facebook account
for Lynn St Amour as the face of ISOC to connect to everyone. Twitter
updates could be fed into facebook as status messages, ISOC can share
ISOC/external documents and links with comments ( for e.g. European
commissioner Vivian Reding proposes G12. [ link ] ISOC feels....

On a more public level, there can be an ISOC "Group" in addition to the
facebook account, for all in the global database to become a "fan" of. This
opens up the possibility of non-members connecting to ISOC, so the isoc
group page also needs to be managed by a team. The isoc group on facebook
could be used to announce online events / seminars - isoc events and isoc
friendly events. A good example is how the US government uses facebook
