Well it would seem the laws in question against 'hurting public sentiment' if taken literally would prohibit
publically denigrating any public figure, which would seem ridiculous in any modern society.
The Court's conclusion that Orkut is a public place just by virtue of the fact that it is on an Internet
portal would seem arguable, however. There are differences between portals and social networks.
The post (presumably - I'm not an orkut expert) would only be intended to be seen by friends of the writer.
As in many of these cases an attempt to quash such speech has, via the resulting publicity,
massively the opposite effect.
