Hello all -
The deployment of the new ISOC Association Management System is still
proceeding as planned. ISOC data from the four legacy sources has
been mapped and imported, and ISOC departments have now reviewed the
data for accuracy. The first baseline of the ISOC Aptify system has
now been established, and focus has begun to shift from data to
configuration.
The next iteration of data imports will begin next week, along with
base configurations as determined by the requirements phase. The
eBusiness portal has been demonstrated and reviewed, and configuration
of this will begin once the eBusiness requirements are complete.
Here is a summary of activities since the last update:
* First imported ISOC data review cycle complete; system baseline
now established
* Grants officially descoped from Phases I and II of AMS project
* German Moreno Perez (DBA/Developer for ISOC Aptify system) hired
in ISOC Reston office.
* In-depth review of eBusiness portal requirements with Membership
group, feedback submitted to Aptify - eBusiness requirements now 60%
complete. Many customisations for ISOC processes have been identified
and documented.
* Aptify submits penultimate back-end (phase one) requirements back
to ISOC, final requirements review underway - back-end requirements
phase now 90% complete.
General comments:
A) Steve Conte and Lincoln McNey are both on holiday this Friday and
next week. Hans Peter Dittler will be our project contact during that
period.
B) German Moreno Perez (our new DBA/Developer) will be starting at
the Reston office as of Monday June 22nd. He will be a Database
Administrator and Developer dedicated primarily to the AMS system.
German was hired because of his extensive database administration
experience, but also for his open-source experience - particularly
around web portals. We look forward to working with him as we move
forward with this project.
In general, the AMS project focus will begin to shift toward the
eBusiness portal during July and August. The next steps beginning in
early July will be the planned outreach to the Chapter Steering
Committee for a demonstration and gathering of feedback for the Aptify
eBusiness portal.
If you have any questions around this either phase of the AMS project,
please write to ams-project at isoc.org .
Thanks ,
Lincoln McNey
