Bill,
It is not just because of the lack of finances, I am also in the midst
of moving my family, business and interests (except for ISOC-LA) from
California to Arizona where I will be finishing my doctoral degree.
However, I would like to make one very strong plea for all of us and
that is to focus our attentions on those who are least able to
participate. I am of the opinion that the best measure of a beneficial
organization, as we are, is what it does for the people least in
control of their abilities and capabilities to fully benefit from the
Internet World.
The list is long but just a few "groups that need our dedicated
attention" include Children, economically challenged, physically
challenged (blind and so many more) and the realization that an ever
increasing percentage of the World's population are challenged in
multiple ways.
I do not know if these will be elevated to the highest levels but that
is my sincere recommendation.

Subject: [Chapter-delegates] ISOC staff plans and issues for ICANN
Sydney
Dear all,
In advance of the meeting next Sunday evening, I thought I would try
to put together a summary of the issues and sessions that I think ISOC
staff will be following during next week's ICANN meeting, along with
brief comments on many of them and links to documents. I am pretty
sure this is not a complete picture, and depending on developments
during the week, priorities may change. In the interest of all of us
having a good overview of ISOC’s involvement in the various ICANN
processes, I’d be pleased to hear from others who will be attending
what their priorities are.
Best regards,
Bill
