Subject: [Chapter-delegates] LAST Reminder - ISOC Briefing Papers
Released (and Marratech calls)
Date: Tue, 07 Jul 2009 16:14:13 +0100
From: Sabrina Wilmot <wilmot at isoc.org>
Reply-To: chapter-support at isoc.org
Organisation: ISOC
To: Chapter Delegates <chapter-delegates at elists.isoc.org>
Dear Colleagues,
This is a last reminder for our Marratech e-meeting on "Multilingualism
and the Internet" scheduled on July 8th at UTC 10.30 (session 1) and UTC
20.00 (session 2).
In this e-meeting we will provide an overview about ISOC Briefing
Papers, discuss multilingualism and linguistic diversity on the
cyberspace and review statistics about languages on the Internet.
Chapters will be presented with challenges of multilingualism and can
discuss suggestions and opportunities on how to get engaged in this
topic on a local level.
So far, only one Chapter representative has signed up for the first
call. If the quorum of 5 Chapter delegates per session is not reached we
have to assume there is not enough interest and will cancel the
e-meeting sessions.
If you or your Chapter colleagues are interested in joining the
"Multilingualism and the Internet" call (session 1 or 2) please sign up
on the Chapter wiki (details below) or reply directly to
<chapter-support at isoc.org> before July 8th UTC 08.00am.
Regards,
Sabrina Wilmot
ISOC
PS: Please note that the e-meeting sessions will be chaired by Dawit
Bekele only as Matthew Shears cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
