Dear Colleagues:
The Project Funding program, newly renamed the Community Grants
Programme, will accept applications beginning Monday, 2 March. The
application round will close Monday, 30 March.
NEW FOR THIS ROUND: In previous rounds, applicants were expected to
show 50% matching funds for their project, as ISOC will not fund the
entire cost of the Project. This provision has been changed from this
round onward. Now, at least 25% of the total budget for the Project
must be contributed from other sources.
This contribution can include cash contributions or in-kind donations.
In general, in-kind donations demonstrate a strong collaboration with
partner organizations and are preferred over cash contributions. In-
kind sources of funding are accepted, provided they are from other
sources, rather than from the applicants themselves. Wherever
possible, applicants should provide documentation to substantiate the
contributions from other sources.
You are invited to attend the upcoming e-meetings scheduled for
23 February at UTC 10:30 and 20:00
to discuss the ISOC Community Grants Programme application forms &
criteria.
I will go over the guidelines on how to apply for funding and hold a
Q&A session. Revised forms and information are posted on the ISOC
website for your review at:
http://isoc.org/isoc/chapters/projects
The webpages will be translated in the coming weeks to French and
Spanish.
Those participating in an e-meeting are urged to read over the
programme webpages in advance of the meeting.
Connecting to the meeting will be by Marratech. Details of how to
connect to the ISOC Marratech Auditorium are at the top of the page at:
http://www.isoc.org/isoc/chapters/meetings/
Please sign up for one of the two meeting times on the Chapter wiki at:

Any questions, please send them to projects at isoc.org.

Best wishes,
