Anne this is indeed Good News on several fronts!!!

No It's *Excellent news*!!! =>For ISOC, for the Chapters and Members, for those of us who have been involved so far in the Sphere Project work, those yet to get involved, and very much for the continuation of the amazing legacy of Tim Gartside...

Those of us who were so privileged and so honoured to work with Tim on the Sphere Project, will I'm sure, join me in sending to Robin "our most sincere welcome aboard"...

Added to this is the special skills, understanding and the benefits her unique perspective will bring to our work, and WOW having been such a close colleague and friend of his, working 'hand in glove' so to speak , in the creation of the unique methodology that Sphere is => Well I think terms like "invaluable" are just right...

Meaning (in my totally biased opinion) that we now have a rare, unique, and timely opportunity to continue and develop the work that the ISOC Sphere Project overall and our WG's have done in particular, and take all this to the next exciting steps that Tim no doubt envisaged...

That she is able to join us at the Chapters meeting in Mexico is perfect timing as so many of us can then return to our corners of the world re-energised, enthused and re-directing our volunteer energy back into this work for 2009... I know I'm very much looking forward to meeting her, doing some Sphere work, and of course seeing so many other Chapter delegates again...

Kindest Regards,

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO)

  Dear Colleagues,

  [Apologies for duplicates]

Many of you will be aware that sadly, last year Tim Gartside, the facilitator of the Sphere Project passed away after a short illness. Since that time I have been looking for someone to take over the consultant role for the project and I am now pleased to inform you that Robin Loan will take up this role.

Robin is a highly skilled and insightful group worker and facilitator, working primarily with large organisational systems and assisting to effect change particularly in the relationships between the formal and informal, the seen and the unseen. She has been working in this field since the late 1970's. Her outstanding successes are seen in the feedback from clients. Robin and Tim have had a long history of friendship and peer work dating back to 1993 and they were co-creators of the Open Sphere methodology.

Robin is in the process of reviewing all the project information and getting up to speed. We are very fortunate to have her working with us and I feel we are in very "safe" hands. With her guidance the project will continue to strengthen relationships between ISOC and the Chapters and between Chapters and to deliver outcomes that support the mission of ISOC.

I am delighted to inform you that she will be attending and facilitating the Chapter workshop in Mexico. This will include some Sphere content as well as content suggested by the Chapter delegates. This will be a great opportunity for those that will be in Mexico to meet Robin in person. More on details of the workshop will be sent in a separate email soon.

Please join me in welcoming Robin.

  Best wishes,

  Anne
