I'm very happy to have contributed at the creation of this chapter. There are some outstanding people as members. I think we will most of them at IETF and ISOC BoT meeting in San Francisco at the end of March.

As we talk about the BoT, if you have any comments, questions or point you would like raised at the BoT, feel free to contact me, or any Trustee of your choice.

I think you have followed the Sphere project and the implementation of the AMS. And just now, the membership group has a new staff in the Chapter development section. This is all good news. It is going strong but we should not relax and keep the momentum. The AMS still need to be implemented and the Sphere still need to come with recommendations or rather some shift change in the way ISOC works.

This is the beginning of the year, but this is when at the board level we set the impetus for the staff to set directions that will be approved at the end of the year during the vote of the budget.

Also recently, we have discussed of the number of seats allocated for chapters elections at the board. This is a difficult issue as a board of 12 is a good number, more and it may become hard to handle. So concessions have to be made. But having 6 seats for chapters, with a maximum of 2x3 years terms would ensure to bring new faces every year.
