Hello Frank Martin,

PaciNet looks like a huge effort for a Chapter and it has an array of Speeches and Presentations lined up. If not during this PaciNet, if some attention could be paid to recording the sessions ( uploading presentation helps but not quite, because the Voice Over the presentation that is missed often contains the most important points )

During Apnic 24 in India I noticed a very impressive team of Transcribers equipped with stenographic equipment simultaneously transcribing every word spoken by the Speakers, by the audience during Q&A, even recording the names of those from the audience on the same instance as they were interacting ( Wonder how they knew everyone in the audience in that large room of about 300 people )

Anne was present at that meeting in Delhi over a year ago and might have a clue of where that expensive looking transcribers came from. Should be worthwhile to make a provision for the presence of such a team in events such as PaciNet.

(As for the sessions in progress, video or at least audio recording of every word spoken would create valuable documents for future reference )

Sivasubramanian Muthusamy
