Hello,

I would like to thank the board of the German ISOC for organizing "IETF
Afternoon" meeting at the end of the RIPE 56 meeting yesterday in Berlin.

There were about 20 people in the room including members of Bundestag
Dr. Dieter Wiefelspütz and Lothar Binding, both from SPD.

There was a lively and focused discussion about data retention, online
computer searching and other issues regarding the Internet, privacy and
security. The discussion lasted for over 4 hours.

This great meeting was to me a perfect example what ISOC _really_ should
be doing to our society today.

And Daniel Karrenberg's entry through the window was quite a remarkable
event :)

Thank you again - it was worth spending half a day and a whole night on
a train only to attend this meeting.
