Dear Colleagues

You are invited to attend a special e-conference on 14th March at UTC
10.30 and UTC 18:30 with Dr Lishan Adam, co-author of a study about
Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships by the Association of Progressive
Communications (APC).

Voluntary and collaborative relationships between Chapters and other
organisations are becoming increasingly important. Partnerships between
the public sector, the private sector and particularly civil society in
promoting information and communication technology (ICT) policy are a
relatively new venture. The mechanisms, management and governance of
such partnerships, from loose arrangements to more formal mechanisms,
are still relatively new. The multi-stakeholder approach has become
preferred to a traditional top-down approach for promoting policy
changes and managing accountability in the implementation of ICT programmes.

In preparation for the e-meeting we have uploaded the document
"Frequently Asked Questions about Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships in ICTs
for Development" at:

http://www.isoc.org/isoc/chapters/meetings/

Dr Lishan Adam's profile and an overview with "Multi-Stakeholder
Partnership - Online Resources" are available for your review on the
Chapter wiki (see link below).

If you would like to attend this special e-meeting please sign up to the
Chapter wiki at (click on E-meeting schedule):

We look forward to your participation. If you have any queries, please
do not hesitate to contact chapters at isoc.org.
