Great information!
Thank you.
When I said "Shall we add next round: Accessibility of the Internet for
people with a Disability?"
I was expressing the desire to see more possible Accessible Internet
projects.
It would be great if Accessible Internet has its place with every ISOC
Chapter. I have seen amazing work by so many Chapters on so many different
subjects. My feeling is that the Chapters are be the best organizations to
bring more awareness to Accessible internet at local level.
So that people with a disability can use the internet and the services
without being restricted. And even better is that Internet allows people
with a disability to overcome or reduce the daily hurdles in life.
Some Chapters are indeed deeply involved in Disability work, kudos! Others
are investigating the possibilities, also great. We should help each other
with that.
So that we all will be involved directly or indirectly with the
Accessibility of the Internet for people with a Disability.
People with a disability will also be affected by cybercrime, also need to
gather knowledge/learn, may be affected by digital rights etc.
I encourage you all to email me details and links on disability related
projects. And we will then see if we can get a nice overview page describing
all the projects and activities that ISOC chapters have done on disability
work. We can learn from each other in this way.
Thanks :-)
Arnoud
