Hello, I would like to thank our friends at ISOC-AM for their statement
published in today's newsletter.
I do understand that the registrar under acted the pressure from the
government and those decisions were not made on a voluntary basis.
I hope the new solution is a good way towards relieving the pressure.
If you ever need support from the ISOC community - please feel free to
speak up for the international support.

Accepting criticism of ISOC-AM's position on the blocking of domains
during the recent state of emergency in Armenia, we recognised the
difficulties which arise from ISOC-AM also operating as a .AM TLD
registry and manager, including instances that may contradict ISOC's
goals and principles. Therefore, we changed the .AM registry
operations to provide registrars an interface for self management of
their registered domains. Registrars (Internet Service Providers) are
now solely responsible for their domains. The registrars' names are
also included in the WHOIS for their respective domains. This relieves
ISOC-AM from any obligations on domain control by the request of
governmental and legal bodies and provides a possibility to raise the
voice of the Internet community against wrong decisions.
