Dear Colleagues -

As announced in an ISOC on this list on 13 June and in the ISOC press
release of 20 June, ISOC is a partner in the Information Society
Information Fund for Asia (ISIF).

ISIF provides small grants of up to US$30,000 to help advance local and
regional projects aimed introducing, improving, and applying Internet
and ICT technology for the benefit of Asia-Pacific users and
communities, with a particular emphasis on less developed countries.

The programme is a partnership between APNIC, ISOC, and the Canadian
International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

This is just a reminder that applications to the ISIF Asia programme are
due 1 September 2008. If your Chapter, community partners, or members
intend on applying, it would be helpful if you could send a reminder
about this deadline to those responsible for the application.

Detailed information on the ISIF Asia programme is available at:
http://www.isif.asia. Should you or your partners have additional
questions not answered by the website, inquiries can be directed to the
manager of the ISIF Secretariat, Sylvia Cadena, at info at isif.asia.

Thanks and best regards,
Karen
