Dear Colleagues,

The Sphere Project was launched on this list mid January. The purpose of
the project is to develop the relationships between ISOC Chapters and
ISOC Chapters and ISOC Global.

There was an excellent response to that invitation and Phase 1 of the
project has now concluded. More than 39 people (mostly from Chapters)
signed up and more than 22 interviews were conducted. A report has been
produced by Tim Gartside titled "ISOC Sphere Project : An invitation to
creative participation using our collective skills and wisdom" and is on
the project pages at the URL below (NB. you are required to sign in to
the report to access the wiki).

Invitation to join Phase 2

We are now ready to move on to Phase 2 and would like to invite your
creative participation.

The most common themes to emerge from Phase 1 have been distilled into 8
potential projects. Interested participants are asked to indicate their
preferences for up to 3 projects. Phase 2 seeks to develop relationships
using the projects as vehicles. Please also consider other ISOC Chapters
and members you think might be interested to work with and encourage
them to take part in a project by inviting them to join you.

If you are interested in joining a Phase 2 project, you can sign up on
the table found at the wiki page referenced above. Alternatively you can
email sphere-project-admin at isoc.org.

If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact
any of us. To complement the on-line work of Phase 2 there will be 2
face to face meetings. One in Rabat (end May) and one in Paris (end
June). Preparations are commencing for these meetings.

You are warmly invited to join phase 2 of the Sphere project.

Best wishes,

Anne
