Thanks for this Anne... My 1st preference on the 26th, would be the 1430 -
1600 hrs slot; That would be immediately after the Workshop: New Geo-TLDs -
More Consumer Choice or More Consumer Confusion? (Co-sponsors: NCUC,
At-Large) which I note at this stage, has had no room allocated to it, so
perhaps even the room venues could b the same, as I suspect many of the
participants will be :) 2nd preference is the after 1900hrs slot.

I further agree, with your suggestion, that the IGF topic would be ideally
placed into a Chapter and Member meeting Agenda...

Also on the matter of remote participation my personal preference is to have
such arranged by default, then advertise the options/details rather than the
other way around. This means that Chapters can continue to promote
participation for longer before an event (in fact right up till and
including while it is on)and it will start to build the expectation that
remote participation in activities such as these meetings, is available and
encouraged, therefore we can try to be as inclusive as we possibly can.

Further on the Chapter Meeting, and the timing yet to be set, as various
agenda's cram more into each meeting day, it may be safer or more
successful, to aim for the closing end of proceedings at ICANN, and before
the other ISOC Meetings already scheduled, IMO

Kindest regards,

Cheryl Langdon-Orr

Subject: [Chapter-delegates] Update on Chapter and Membership meetings
atPuerto Rico

Dear Colleagues,

1) ISOC-ICANN involvement meeting

Thanks for all your feedback to date on the proposed meeting to
discuss ISOC involvement in ICANN, and thanks also to Patrick and
Sebastian for their assistance in planning. It seems we have decided
that the 26th is a preferable date to the Saturday 23rd. We have the
following time slots available and I would like your feedback on
which slots would be preferable:

Tuesday 26th June at:

a) 0900 -12.00
b) 1430 - 1600
c) after 1900

The agenda and all other details will be available on line as soon as
they are known. On the agenda planning, I note that there was a
request from Veni to discuss how ISOC could assist in the IGF and I
would like to suggest that this is added to the agenda for the
Chapter and Member meeting below, rather than this meeting, which is
focussed on ISOC participation in ICANN.

Remote participation has not (yet) been planning for this meeting but
if there is feedback that there would be participation, it can
certainly be arranged.

2) Chapter and Member meeting

Eduardo DIaz and his colleagues from the Puerto Rico Chapter have
graciously agreed to assist with the Chapter and Member meeting this
time and will be sending a separate email to this list to determine
the agenda and best time slot.

Again remote participation can be planned for this meeting if there
is interest.

3) General meeting planning

On a separate note, I apologise for the lateness in announcing these
meetings and plan to improve this in future. As a start I would like
to add an agenda point to the forthcoming Chapter and member meeting
in order to start to plan for our "next meetings".

Look forward to hearing from you,

Best wishes,
Anne
