in most of this we do agree. And indeed, in that we ought to support all
that try to start a chapter.
Where we may differ is, first, that the "we" in your email, re analyzing
the Congo DR proposition is not yet open or known to the chapter
delegates, and further, that we owe ourselves some due diligence indeed.
Not the least is to make sure the people who come forward have a straight,
honest proposition and are doing no collateral damage, for example to an
existing chapter or to another self-organizing group.
IMO that is one of the great benefits of this list - open and transparent
discussion, and then of course a warm welcome to new, established friends.
So the information that has been conveyed, explicitly by Patrick and
Marie-Anne, or implicitly by Alex and others who know the principals in
the DRC and have vouched for them, is the best grounds we have to go
forward in expanding this wonderful organization.
