Dear Chapter delegates,

As our policy activities are important to ISOC's future and to our
chapters and members, I wish to let you know of upcoming changes in
the Internet Society's Public Policy Team.

Matthew Shears, our current Director, has expressed a need to step
back from the Director position for personal reasons. As a result of
this change we will be issuing a call for applications for a new
Director of Public Policy. The job description and application
process will be posted on our site and the job announcement will be
posted internationally. We encourage you to share the position
announcement broadly, and of course also encourage applications from
all our member and partner communities.

Matthew will remain in his current position until the new Director is
appointed, and will continue to work with the Internet Society on a
reduced time basis. He will continue to support the Public Policy
team and other ISOC programs and initiatives.

I would like to take this opportunity to recognize Matthew's
accomplishments and thank him for all his support. We are
especially happy that we will be able to continue working with
Matthew and look forward to him resuming a full-time position.

Regards,
Lynn
