Accra, Ghana – The Internet Society, Ghana
Chapter will hold a press soiree on 14th December, 2007 in
honour of Prof. Nii Narku Quaynor,
Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of Cape Coast and
Chairman of Ghana. Com, the first Internet Service provider in West Africa for
winning the Jon Postel Award instituted by the Internet Engineering Task Force
(IETF) for the year 2007, for his role in promoting the Internet on the African
Continent. Prof. Quaynor is the 9th winner of the award and the
first African to win the award.
 

  
 

The Internet Society Ghana Chapter (ISOC Ghana) has adopted an
annual press soiree to brief the press and the general public on its activities
in Ghana 
and abroad. This year, the focus will be on Professor Quaynor who has just
received the Jon Postel Award. This is to invite all ISOC membership and other Internet stakeholers to this soiree.
