Actually, it is not about replacing one domain name with another. My
initial suggestion was that it would give a coherent image of ISOC if
all chapters web sites could be found under the isoc.org domain.  This
would not prevent us to keep our current domain names in parallel. Many
chapters have been using their own domain name for a long time.  It does
have value for them, because they are known in their community with
their current domain name. The proposal is just an alias, to which some
chapters might move in the future.
