Thanks for your mail. Just to respond to a few things you raise...

Indeed the timing was not optimal. I was very aware of this, but was  
trying to avoid clashing events at the ICANN meeting. I think this is  
really unavoidable, so (hearing peoples requests) I will schedule the  
meeting at a more sociable hour (and for longer) in future.

At the moment we are trialling Marratech - a remote conferencing tool  
(http://www.marratech.com/). It has so far been used with Board  
meetings and it was successful. We hope in (the not too distant)  
future to make it available for other meetings.
