Dear Terry,

I asked my secretary to reply to you email on my behalf but unfortunately
she misunderstood my instruction. She tried to collect the information
for me to use in the reply.

Anyway, it is better late than never and my reply is inserted below the
questions.

Best regards,
Srisakdi

Yes, together with Thailand Internat Association, Thailand Chapter
of the ACM, Thailand Chapter of the Computer Society of the IEEE, we have
at least one meeting per month.
As a matter of fact, last year we organized 3 internaional
conferences where I presented the following papers

(1) Charmonman, S. "University-Level eLearning in ASEAN". Special Issue of
IJCIM, Volume 13, No. SP1. Proceedings of the Second International
Conference on eLearning for Knowledge-Based Society, organized by the
Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, ISOC
Thailand Chapter and related learned societies. Bangkok,
    Thailand, Pp. 11.1 - 11.6, August 4-7, 2005.
(2) Charmonman, S. "eASEAN Task Force and eASEAN Business Council". Special
Issue of IJCIM, Volume 13, No. SP2. Preceedings of the International
Conference on Computer and Industrial Management (ICIM), organized by
Assumption University, ISOC Thailand Chapter and related learned
    societies Bangkok, Thailand, Pp. 23.1 - 23.4, October 29-30, 2005.
(3) Charmonman, S. and Chorpothong, N. "Digital Lifestyle and the
Road Ahead". Special Issue of IJCIM, Volume 13, No. SP3. Proceedings
of the Forth International Conference on eBusiness, organized by the
Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, ISOC
Thailand Chapter and related learned societies. Bangkok,
    Thailand, Pp. 2.1 - 2.8, November 19-20, 2005.

We do have financial support from Thailand Internet Association where we
have about 18,000 members and we collect 2.5 US$ each per year, totalling
about 45,000 US$ per year. For the Conferences we also have sponsors, e.g.
sponsors for the three conference last year about 50,000 US$.

The printed proceedings are available to members of ISOC Board of
Thrustees and ISOC chapters, if they are interested in.

If you like us to help organize ISOC event in Thailand we will be
delighted to.

Best regards,
Srisakdi
